Theodossis Gatsos

Mr. Gatsos began his legal career as an in-house counsel of a multinational construction conglomerate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His main responsibilities included the drafting, negotiating and following up of the execution of the engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance contracts as well as the settlement of all disputes either through negotiations or international arbitration (ICC-LCIA).

In early 90s Mr. Gatsos obtained his MBA in Paris, France whilst continuing working in various places of the world. Having completed more than a decade of international experience in the construction and oil refining industries he returned to Greece joining the largest local oil refinery company.

Mr. Gatsos advises clients on corporate governance and disputes such as breach of contracts and warranty cases, disputes over the proper construction of agreements, shareholder disputes, disputes over joint ventures and post-mergers and acquisitions disputes and the relevant litigation. He is also seasoned in negotiating concessions or other development agreements, as well as providing detailed advice on real estate in Greece.

His recent industry experience includes oil trade, project financing, engineering and construction, automotive, waste management and real estate.

Panagiotis Tsoumanis

Mr. Tsoumanis has more than 30 years experience in all aspects of dispute resolution including litigation, mediation and arbitration on a variety of corporate finance, M&A, divestments, joint ventures, public takeovers, refinancing projects, as well as EU regulatory matters. He advises clients on transactions across a wide range of Greek industries including distribution companies and importing/exporting agencies.

Mr. Tsoumanis is Head of litigation in our law firm. He represents clients in high profile commercial, civil and criminal matters and argues cases before the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Highly competent litigation practitioner with extensive courtroom experience, Mr. Tsoumanis knows how to litigate a case from start to finish, including case risk management and crisis control. Client interviewing, pleading, cooperation with expert witnesses, argue trial motions and negotiation are some of his litigation skills. He has handled more than 1500 cases of corporate interest before the Greek courts.

Mr. Tsoumanis is an expert in all aspects of EU and national competition and merger control laws, regulatory matters, state aid and commercial transactions, and defends clients in investigations and court disputes.

His recent industry experience includes banking (regulation, corporate governance, liquidation), public utilities, retail trade and automotive.
